About the Creative Mind

Hi, I’m Sam Shelast—a Vancouver-based graphic + digital designer who swapped blueprints and coordination duties for colour palettes and creative adventures. Drawing from over 20 years of experience keeping teams, processes, and projects running smoothly in the construction world, I eventually followed the spark that’s been with me since childhood: making art and bringing ideas to life.

When I’m not working, you’ll often find me behind a camera lens chasing sunsets, photographing landscapes, or capturing the quiet beauty of nature. 

I’m all about blending creativity with curiosity, and I thrive on projects that make people stop, smile, and connect. For me, design isn’t just about visuals—it’s about storytelling, emotion, and a little bit of play.
